Written by the British Ju-Jitsu champion, the book includes details of a wide variety of blows, holds, kicks, throws, strikes, and other self defence techniques. With instructions on how to deal with assailants armed with sticks, rifles, and pistols. The book is well illustrated with drawings of a British serviceman using the techniques against a jackbooted Nazi soldier. There is a large fold-out chart at the rear of the book showing a wide variety of techniques that could be used. The book was intended to be used by the regular army, the Home Guard, and civilians in the event of a German invasion.
