An original WW2 Royal Navy anti-aircraft gunner's pocket book, published in 1943. This is a detailed guide for Naval gunners using both heavy and light anti-aircraft weapons. With sections on aiming off, sighting, eyeshooting, projectiles, recognition of enemy aircraft, the use of the various foresights and backsights, tracer, barrages, anti-ship fire and almost everything else a gunner would need to know about anti-aircraft fire. Illustrated with photographs and diagrams, including showing exactly how to identify and then shoot down a Heinkel 111. The book also includes cartoons by Fougasse, and an updated version of Kipling's poem 'If' - 'The Close Range A.A. Gunner's If'.
Condition:
In good condition. The card cover is in good condition, with minor signs of use and some fading. The stapled binding is good and secure. The text and illustrations are in very good condition.
