OPTICIANS & SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT MAKERS,

406 Strand & 457 West Strand, London, 1928

A very rare 1928 J. H. Steward catalogue of scientific instruments. An invaluable reference work for anyone collecting compasses, barometers, sextants, sundials, clinometers and many other instruments. This catalogue is very well illustrated throughout and includes detailed descriptions, prices and specifications for virtually every scientific instrument that was in use from the end of the Victorian era to the 1930s.

James Henry Steward established his business in London in 1852. As a maker and retailer of optical, scientific, military and surveying instruments. J.H.
