A rare original 1937 Parker Hale 'Service Section' Catalogue. This was Parker-Hale's service weapons catalogue, produced specifically for members of the armed services just before WW2. It offered a wide selection of guns, accessories and shooting equipment, from the standard Lee-Enfield .303 service rifles and Webley .455 and .38 revolvers, to more specialist items, including the Thompson sub-machine gun, Walther PPK, Colt 1911, Webley .455 High Velocity automatic pistol and several other less well-known automatic pistols. Various models of the SMLE were included, as were the Pattern '14 Sniper rifles and all the relevant spares and accessories. There are even special kits for the Vickers Machine Gun and the Lewis Gun, allowing them to be used in smaller calibres for training purposes. Flare pistols, ammunition, dummy cartridges, telescopes, sights, holsters, Prideaux quick loaders, and all sorts of other equipment are included. With full details, specifications and prices of all the weapons and associated equipment. Very well illustrated throughout, with numerous line drawings, this catalogue is an invaluable reference work and resource for anyone interested in the small arms used by the British armed services in WW1 and WW2.
