Published just after the end of the war, the book is very well illustrated with diagrams, a large fold-out plan of the Spitfire, and numerous photographs of Spitfires and the pilots who flew them. Subjects covered include: the Battle of Britain, The Few, D-Day, Seafires, Pilots, Ground Crew, and the many campaigns in which the Spitfire flew. With the original illustrated dust jacket.
In good condition. The boards are in very good condition. The original dust jacket is in good condition, with some marks, wear at the edges, and some archival paper tape repairs to the reverse. The binding and hinges are very good and secure. The text and illustrations are in very good condition, with a few minor marks.
