Machine Gun Training is very well illustrated with diagrams, line drawings, fold-outs and maps, including a coloured fold-out 1/10,000 scale trench map. It covers all the elements of training in the use of the standard issue Vickers Machine Gun. The .303 Vickers was the standard British Army heavy machine gun throughout both the First and Second World Wars. This volume is a very comprehensive handbook of all aspects of machine gun use and tactics, from elementary drill, ballistics, range-finding, packing and transport to instructions for use of the gun in combat.
In good condition. The card cover is in good condition, with general signs of use, some wear to the spine, and some creased corners. The binding and hinges are good and secure. The text, illustrations, and fold-outs are in good condition with some marks and a few creased corners.
