An original WW2 aircraft identification handbook, published by Temple Press in April 1940, just before the start of the Battle of Britain. It includes details of the various different types of RAF and Luftwaffe aircraft that would be encountered during the early part of WW2. It also includes excellent diagrams showing fields of fire of enemy aircraft. The book is well illustrated throughout, with photographs, line drawings and silhouettes. Aircraft covered include: Spitfire, Hurricane, Me-109, Heinkel III, Ju-88, Vickers Wellington, Me-110 and many more. Signed on the front cover by Major Gordon Quayle RAMC, who apparently used this book while stationed in Malta during WW2.
In very good condition. The card cover has minor signs of wear, and a couple of marks. The stapled binding is secure, although the original staples are rusty. The text and illustrations are in good condition with a few minor marks. With the signature of 'Gordon Quayle' on the front cover.
