Mechanism Made Easy

GALE & POLDEN, Aldershot, c.1942

An original WW2 Thompson Submachine Gun handbook, published c.1942. Although undated, it was certainly published during WW2 and after the first edition of 1940, which had slightly different photographs. The book is a detailed guide to the handling and maintenance of the 'Tommy Gun' as used by the allied armies during WW2. Full of fascinating information and fully illustrated with great photos of the Thompson and its mechanism, this book will tell you all you need to know about the workings and use of the Thompson Submachine gun.

In good condition. The card cover shows minor signs of use and some fading at the edges. The stapled binding is secure, although the original staples are rusty. The text and photographs are in very good condition. There are small bookseller's ink stamps to the front cover and title page.
