A rare original WW2 Unarmed Combat manual, published by Bernards of London c.1940. It includes details of a wide variety of blows, holds, kicks, throws, strikes, and other self defence techniques. With instructions on how to deal with assailants armed with knives or pistols. The booklet is well illustrated with drawings of a British serviceman using the techniques against a jackbooted Nazi soldier. The booklet was intended to be used by both the regular army and the Home Guard.

In good condition. The card cover is in good condition, with some signs of use and a few marks. The text and illustrations are in very good condition. The stapled binding is secure, although the original staple is rusty.
