A rare original WW2 Unarmed Combat manual, published by Bernards of London c.1940. It includes details of a wide variety of blows, holds, kicks, throws, strikes, and other self defence techniques. With instructions on how to deal with assailants armed with knives or pistols. The booklet is well illustrated with drawings of a British serviceman using the techniques against a jackbooted Nazi soldier. The booklet was intended to be used by both the regular army and the Home Guard.


In fair condition. The card cover is in fair condition, with general signs of wear and use and some marks. The text and illustrations are in fair condition with some marks. The stapled binding is secure, although the original staple is rusty.
